So I recognized that my 3ds analog stick moves less smooth than usual,

my 3ds was pre ordered when he was announced and I actual decided to get a

But as long as i don`t have the money, I want my old one to function.

I opened him already, without damage, a little while ago, trying to clean the (socket)

Nintendo 3DS: 3DS Black Screen / Freezing - Half fixed

Hi, I seem to have a weird problem

My 3Ds broke whilst it was with someone else, I forgot to ask what did they do as it happened and I can't get hold of them at the moment so not sure how it started.

It's not in warrenty so I've been trying to fix it myself as I've fixed someone's before.

I took the SD card out and when turning it on the backlight would come on but no sound or display on either screen, just black (with backlight) when I closed it and opened it the backlight would disappear like it was stuck in sleep mode - the blue light and wifi light both worked, but not the 3D light.

I tried reset, taking out battery and reconnection the WIfi chip but same problem, I thought I would just try putting a game in and it came on, it took me to the menu, sound now worked, I could scroll across and the 3D light worked, but if I tried to click on any menu it would go back to black screen and I would have to turn it off

When I clicked "manual" it freezes but with the screen on. It may need updating but the wifis changed and I can't go into the settings to change it so when I do "L,R,up,A" nothing happens

Also when I take the game back out it doesn't come on, so I can only go to the menu with a game in

Edit: just to add, once In the menu, all the square icons when clicked go back to the black screen but when I click the mini buttons at the to or the manual button it stays on but freezes (sometimes only the bottom screen freezes )

Edit 2: I took the game out while it was on the menu and now it seems to boot up without the game, still with freezing and black screen issues.

Thanks,

Nicole

Nintendo 3DS: 3DS autostarts to camera, l and r triggers removed, read description

I have a faulty 3ds I am trying to fix. When you power on the console, sometimes it will automatically open up the camera application (which is started by holding down the left and right triggers).

Then it will give the generic error message before asking to shut the system off.(An error has occured, contact support.nintendo.com etc...)

I thought the triggers might be stuck or something, so I opened up the console and completely removed the triggers. However the error still happened .

The error only happens sometimes like I mentioned so I decided to test a game after removing the triggers so I popped in smash bros, and the game thought that the triggers are constantly being pushed despite them not even being in the system. Couldn't run, only could dodge, shield is always up. Same with mario kart, always drifting.

What could be causing this kind of error?

Tl;dr I removed the left and right triggers entirely, but the system still thinks they are being pressed down constantly. Causes a system error in the camera application, I think the camera might be broken?

Nintendo 3DS: My top screen will not come on or charge...

So I have had my 3DS since it was out and about 5-6 months ago my 3DS top screen was bugging out but would always go back to normal. The next week my top screen went black and NEVER went back to reg. I tried everything to fix it ( except prof. help ) Exp. I have tried opening it up, letting it sit, and also pushing the power button for 30 seconds. Then it wouldn't even charge anymore. The moral of the story is I just need an explanation or hopefully a solution. Thank-you in advance.

Nintendo 3DS: Any way to transfer SD Card information w/o the original 3DS?

Okay, so I attempted to replace the casing on my 3DS which I had just gotten for Christmas. I ended up snapping all THREE of the Ribbon Cables that run from the top half to the bottom half. I decided to just get a new one, as it's not worth the potential amount I could waste on trying to repair it. So I was wondering, is there any way to transfer the information from my current SD card to my new one? I wouldn't care normally, except some of the games I play use the stupid system which saves on the SD Card. If need be, I can always restart them, but I'd rather not do that. So, even though there's no OFFICIAL way to do it, are there any programs or loopholes through which I can transfer the information?

Thanks in Advance!

Nintendo 3DS: How to deactivate the 3D function?

A while ago, my bf's 3DS fell from the bedside table. As a result, it started activating the 3D function by itself. Initially, it was possible to deactivate it, by making some hard movements, of by gently hitting the console with your hand. More recently, however, it's almost impossible to deactivate it, and it reactivates shortly after being shut down.

The thing is: nor I nor my boyfriend can stand to play with that damned 3D. It gives me headache, and I usually feel like it would destroy my eyes. Is it possible to kill the 3D?

Nintendo 3DS: "B" Button only works when pressed HARD.

I've gotten it torn apart according to IFIXIT's ABXY replacement guide, and I've cleaned each individual button as well as the contacts on the motherboard with isopropyl alcohol, but... Well they didn't really seem dirty in the slightest. The buttons themselves had a very small amount of gunk on them, the contacts looked perfect already. I don't see any physical damage...

EDIT: I should mention that this happened suddenly. And just a though, could it be that I'd need to replace the ABXY part on the motherboard?

Any ideas before I put this back together and find that cleaning didn't make a difference?
