Nexus 5X: Looking for Nexus 5x Schematics

I have a Nexus 5x that won't charge because of water damage. I opened it up and it looks like there might be damage on the quick charge circuit but I don't know what to test for. I need some schematics to see what parts are supposed to be capacitors and what parts are filters or resistors. I have tested the battery connectors on the motherboard and I don't have any voltage there. Also the place where the quick charge chip is heats up when it's plugged in. Does any one know where I can get schematics for a Nexus 5x? I can't seem to find them anywhere on the internet.

Nexus 5: Camera's pictures quality awful after screen replacement

Hello,

I just replaced my wife screen after drop damage. It's one of the easiest phone to fix and replace. everything went back to normal except the image quality are terrible now for rear camera. I don't know what happened! Color, brightness and glare all weird. I checked the housing plate and the lens from inside everything looks in place even ribbons. All I can see there is not good light controlling.

Front camera is giving me natural colors better than the rear, and even nexus 4 rear camera is much better and I easily can tell the different!!!

Any ideas will help is appreciated,

Thanks,

LG G2: Best glue for attaching screen to phone?

My friend gave me his wife's old g2 that she dropped and shattered the digitizer. I bought a brand new pre assembled lcd/digitizer so all I'd have to do is use some 2mm tape and press it in to place. I'm now having an issue where from about the middle on the phone to the bottom is lifting around the edges. I thought I might have done a poor job with the tape so I went in and re did it 2 times now and still the same results. I'm wondering since the factory screen had this black glue like substance holding the screen in what can I use to mimic that and the results. I've read super glue was a bad idea because it gets between the LCD and digitizer. I also saw some one suggested gorilla glue epoxy (the 3300 psi stuff) I'm not worried with replacing the assembaly again in the event I drop my phone before I get a case. I'll just get the frame with the screen. Thanks in advance.

LG K7: Phone no longer connects to cellular service after restart.

A few days ago, I restarted my phone after clearing some data on my device in an attempt to save storage (my phone was warning that my storage was low, so I deleted the phone's cache and the "Android" selection in the storage's "Miscellaneous" grouping after making sure all apps and/or media that could be stored on the SD card was.). As it finished rebooting, I noticed it failed to play the T-Mobile jingle as it normally would while rebooting. Upon completing the reboot, the lock screen displayed "Service Disabled" and the cellular service bars on the upper-righthand corner showed no connection. Settings won't allow me to turn on my mobile network, or even select it as it's now grayed out. It does not recognize what mobile network it should be connected to in the "About Phone" section of Settings. Additionally, the phone will not play any audio from any source, despite audio being on in the settings. It won't play ringtones, notification alerts, alarms, etc. It won't even play video files with audio in any applications (showing playback errors or just failing to play despite loading the file), in addition to locally stored videos.

I have tried restarting the device, removing and reinserting the SIM card and then restarting the device, and I just completed a factory reset, all to no avail. I am unsure of how this failure has occurred. I had believed it was a software issue, but after the factory reset I now assume it must be hardware related. I have no idea what the problem could be, or what steps I should do to fix it. I have disassembled my phone to see if anything seems amiss or damaged. The headphone jack seemed loose where it rested, but I didn't notice it until a ways into disassembly and can't rule out that it became dislodged from said disassembly. Besides a normal amount of human refuse from years of use, nothing seemed out of the ordinary in the phone's internals. Short of replacing the motherboard, I'm stumped. Any help would be much appreciated.

LG Phoenix 5: Anyone know a company that can unlock these?

I have a pair of LG Phoenix 5 (AT&T locked) I bought some time back as spare phones. These use the Device Unlock app. I tried once, and the first company I tried earlier this year couldn’t get it done. At this point, I blame these phones since they are being so difficult. At the time I got them, I was still using AT&T so it was a non-issue. My new issue with these is I am now on T-Mobile since I am done with the AT&T pricing.

Has anyone found a company that can reliably handle these Device Unlock phones? I mean worst case scenario I can sell them and I think I have a potential candidate if it can’t be done. These have been nothing but a nightmare as nobody does Device Unlock phones, and the company I tried couldn't do it.

LG G5: Replacement 16mp rear camera is unfocused and "nodding"

The replacement camera focus is stuck and blurry, the quality looks arguably worse, and it "nods".

When I hold the camera still, the camera shifts downwards then back to the centre (when holding portrait-view-- left/right in landscape). You can see the camera lens move if you look directly at it.

I'm not sure what to do to fix this, or did I get a faulty one? When I opened the package, the camera was at the bottom of the box and not cushioned in-between the packing material so could it have been damaged during shipping.

LG Power: How to turn on USB Debugging (Power button broken, and phone off)

Hello. First of all, thank you for reading this.

My issue is that I want to turn on USB debugging so I can use ADB to turn on my phone, since my phone died and my phone's power button is broken. But, I cant use ADB since I didn't enable USB Debugging in the first place. Is there a way to turn on USB Debugging without using a power button and turning on my phone? This happened when I accidentally put my phone in a deep puddle. After that, my back panel got wet and then my power button wouldn't respond anymore.

LG G4: How do I get the phone working for data recovery?

**Edited for cleanup purposes**

My LG G4 (H810) locked up, died when I pulled the battery and no longer turns on. At this point the phone is over 1 year old and is almost certainly out of warranty (or any "hidden" warranties). Neither AT&T or LG are probably going to help and I am likely limited to OOW repair. I have a 509K* phone, so mine is part of the bad range.

The problem is it will likely cost more to send it to LG for a repair then it will be to find a good IMEI range phone so I'm not going to even bother. However, I have two problems for the price of one dead phone: My data is stuck on a dead phone. What makes it worse is I have photos of a deceased cat I can't get back and giving up on the phone effectively means those are gone for good. To make matters worse, LG won't help with data recovery.

By trying my luck with getting LG to replace the phone, I'm effectively losing irreplaceable data I can never get back. On top of that I have heard that LG refuses to replace dead G4's with a different model that isn’t hot garbage known to fail. No thanks - get me something that WORKS.

Since I am in a situation where some data on the phone is irreplaceable, I don't care about the phone. At this point I just want my data back, even if I may not be able to get the phone repaired or replaced. The data is easily worth more then the phone.

The problem with extracting data from the NAND flash directly is I encrypted my phone :(. The encryption REQUIRES I get the board working for data recovery or I will not be able to recover my data. Since I need to repair the board for data recovery, are they are any known faults with these phones that cause these problems? I JUST need the phone to work well enough so that I can recover my data.

EDIT FOR AT&T LG G4 OWNERS

At least in my case, AT&T switched phones without paying off the balance of a dead phone. On one hand the phone was (nearly) paid off so that may be why. It probably won't be a problem, but I'd be prepared for the worst.

I have checked it months after doing this and it no longer turns on at all, but still charges the battery. YIKES!

LG V20: USB C port replacement

What is involved in replacing a damaged UCB-C port on the LG V20? Actually, I could ask a similar question for my iPhone 6S Lightning port. It's been pointed out that one advantage to "wireless" charging is the reduction of wear on power sockets. With daily use, that would be around 700 plug ins over a two year period, so wonder if this comes up often as an issue, and if so, how to replace a damaged power port.

LG Stylo 4 plus: Why is my screen washed out/keyboard not responding?

Hello!

I’ve had my LG Stylo 4 plus for about a year. I dont drop it and ive never had it in water. today out of nowhere, the screen kind of got this washed out color and there are three horizontal (not vertical) lines running down it. the icons have halos around them and my touch screen mostly works until I want to type something.

the keyboard then acts like i’m pressing too long, has phantom swypes, or just doesnt type anything at all. if i want to actually swype something myself, it doesnt work.

I started it in safety mode to see if it’s an app, but it has the same problem. I dont want to do a hard reset if i dont have to, so im wondering if its a hardware issue and if it is, what hardware? if its cheap to fix i’ll fix it myself.

UPDATE: the keyboard seems to work fine in the Keep Notes app and the Telegram X app, but not in browser, hangouts, or texting. i am fine with the screen being this way right now, but the keyboard working perfectly in some apps and not in others entails a software issue right?
