I found an old Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS camera. It came with an in-package kodak rechargeable battery supply. I put the battery in and was able to take pictures for about 20 minutes before they died. I purchased a charger for the camera on ebay. The camera will run with the charger plugged in, but when it is removed the camera turns off. The camera will run on the charger even if the battery pack is removed. I also tried normal AA batteries and the camera will run on those. The charger does not seem to be charging the batteries, is there anything I can do?

I recently dropped my camera recently on accident, though the camera didn't power off right away then; it did slowly start to break. It would randomly power off when I tried to take pictures, etc. Now it's completely broke, the lens is out and while I can turn it on still it will only turn on for a second and the lens won't retract back in. Kodak EasyShare C195: Dead camera. Stopped during power-up

C195 Easy Share camera. I turned it on and the lens came half way out and the whole camera stopped completely. At this point, it’s a paperweight. The lens is out half way and it does nothing at all. Yes, I tried the batteries. They are brand new and work in other devices with high drain. Any suggestions? Maybe it’s just a bad solder joint? (I have electronics experience so I can probably fix this.)
