About a year ago I powered up my camera, when I tried to zoom/wide the camera just powered off. Otherwise, everything else works fine.

Look, I haven't dropped or abused this camera, and I like it. When I checked w/ Kodak about repair, well- I might as well buy a new camera. I also need to save a little face with my wife for buying a refurbed camera.

I've searched the net for a teardown or another ifixit.com site for cameras w/ no luck.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I’ve tried charging my camera over night. I tried a new battery, and tried the Power reset as a similar question was solved. The camera works fine when connected to power with a usb cable, but the battery won’t charge, even if it says it is charging. I would really appreciate any tips on how to solve this. Thankyou.

I have plugged in the camera and left in on the charger for a few hours. However, the charging light will not come in while its plugged in, and the camera will still not power on after being plugged into the wall after a few hours.

basically, this sat on a charger for two days, and i had checked it every once and a while

i don't think this was used after about 2016-2015ish?

i tried to remove the batt, but its like stuck inside of the camera (im assuming by corrosion, as it sat in a basement for 8 years or so)

My lends is wont retract

The first few times we turned it on/ off it said lends obstructed. A few more times I turned it on it looked normal but when I took the picture it showed only black.

Anytime I insert an SD card into this camera, the screen states “Memory card requires formatting”. Out of the two options displayed, I would select continue, and it would procees to load, then return to the screen that said the card requires formatting. If i choose to cancel when the screen says “Memory card requires formatting”, it says “Memory card cannot be read —(please format memory card or insert another memory card.)”. I’ve cleared the card completely and even tried a brand new card, as well as a micro SD with an adapter. Both cards are 32 GB; please help, i really want to take vintage photos with this camera!!! ☺️

I have purchased a new cover for the battery compartment for my Kodak C913. I can't figure out how to take off the broken one to replace it. I'm afraid of breaking more of the plastic if I force something.
