Kenmore Direct Drive Washing Machine: Why is my washer making a scraping noise when it agitates?

Washer was working great until we moved, and now ever since then it makes that noise when it is in the agitates? We did not lay it on it's side, we used a dolly to move it to it's new location. I really need the help to fix! Everything else runs fine spins great and filled fine, just happens when it washes the clothes.

Kenmore Direct Drive Washing Machine: Washer won't agitate, fills with water & will spin, but hums elsewhere

EDIT: It seems like it's problem is going from rinse to spin. Ran it through a small cycle and stops right after rinse. It makes that hum, then shuts off. There is a burnt smell, but not that bad. Ironically, going from cycle to spin works fine.

My working theory is the transmission, as it does make a bit of a rattling noise at agitation. Video: https://youtu.be/POABtLbIPts and when going into the second spin, it seems like everything locks up.

Video of the machine locking up: https://youtu.be/QzH00JX6Kxc

Spin works fine, but anything else just hums. Finding a bunch of answers & good places to start, but something's still not connecting.

First thought was something is locking the drive and tripping the motor. BUT, I take the belt off and the motor will not engage except on spin.

This is actually an Amana, but couldn't find a suitable appliance.

Thoughts anyone?

This was the closest & best read I've found, but has a lot of options.

Kenmore Direct Drive Washing Machine: Lid Locked Light Flashes 5 Times. - RESOLVED

I have a Kenmore Series 500 washer (I couldn’t find the option for the series 500 when I went to make my question so I clicked what looked closest to my machine) I’ve owned for about two years with little to practically no problems. Until today. I started a load on heavy duty which is what I mostly use for regular loads, and then during the sensing cycle I added a couple items I had missed. Again done this repeatedly in the past. This time however… while the lid was open the machine locked. I have unplugged it repeatedly for extended periods of time, held down the button to cancel it, but no matter what I do it will not unlock. Therefore I can’t close the lid because it’s locked and I can’t wash my clothes. I can’t even get the machine to drain and it has quite a bit of water in it along with my clothes. When I unplug it and plug it back in the lid lock light flashes 5 times and then it does nothing.

Update (02/02/2020)

My husband figured it out! Holding the cancel button wasn't working. He unplugged the machine and then held these two little spring-loaded things that are under the lock that the latch would push in on if the lid is closed. I plugged it back in as he was holding it and it unlocked itself!

So I think it had the error because the lock was on but it knew the lid wasn't down because the springs weren't pushed in.

Kenmore Direct Drive Washing Machine: Washer won't spin during heavy loads

I have a Kenmore 70 series direct drive washing machine that's having problems spinning heavy loads dry.

Problem:

My wife noticed a loud banging during the spin cycle, like it was off balance. That lasted for approx three loads and then stopped by itself. Next we noticed some loads weren't spinning dry but some were. Seems that the heavier the load, the slower the spin. Too heavy and it won't spin at all. The basket drains fine.

During heavy loads when the spinning stops, you can manually turn the basket a few times counter-clockwise which seems to help it regain some traction. But it's still too slow and will quickly stop spinning again.

Attempted solutions:

I pulled the washer apart and inspected the clutch and coupler. The clutch has strong grip and the coupler did too. Both looked and worked good on manual inspection.

What other problems could it be? Basket drive? Gear case? Have you seen this before?

Thanks!

Kenmore Direct Drive Washing Machine: Spin basket (drum) does turn in spin cycle

I have a Kenmore 400 (model #: 11029422801) and the washer goes through the wash cycle without problem until it hits the spin cycle. During the rinse cycle, it appeared that the agitator and drum spun in tandem when the water was draining. But in the spin cycle, only the agitator spun and not the drum. I've been advised that this may point to a faulty timer, but a bad clutch seems to make sense too.

I've already replaced the lid switch and that did nothing to address the problem.

Could you advise? I'm trying to decide which repair would solve this issue.

Kenmore Direct Drive Washing Machine: Washer Leaks Only During Agitation Cycle

Have noticed my "Whirlpool" direct drive top loading washer leaks only during agitation, to include washing and rinsing cycle. It's a pretty intense leak as well, to the point where I can watch the soap bubbles run across the floor to the lowest spot. I'm pretty sure I can just replace the gasket/seal on the bottom of the agitator, but I wanted to get someone else's opinion before I pull my washer apart.
Kenmore Direct Drive Washing Machine: Timer clicking and only fill cycle works

Have a Kenmore 500 series.

A few days ago we started with another problem and the spin cycle would not work but everything else did. Replaced the clutch and rebuilt the transmission and the spin cycle worked for a few quick tests. Was excited. Then did a load of laundry and completely different problem now. The timer just makes a clicking sound on any position other than fill and the motor doesnt even try to start.

When I tilted the unit on its side was thinking something maybe got wet. Bad capacitor? Bad timer? I tried putting a cheap multimeter on the capacitor and it seemed ok, but not sure I was checking it right. Maybe something else out of place now? I did accidentally drop it a little hard on its side once.

Thanks a lot!
