Home Audio Amplifier: Why won't my Amp power up?

I have an A500 Behringer power amp that will not power up. I replaced the power cord and fuse with known working ones, with no result. Next, I took the fuse I tested in it and plugged it back into a working amp of the same model, which ran fine (so I know the amp isn't just killing fuses).

Any ideas?

UPDATE:

(I would have put this as a comment, but needed more words. I would have edited my original post, but couldn't upload pics on an edit.) Every once in a long while, the lights on the front of the power amp will light briefly and then die, but 98 percent of the time, nothing. I have opened it up, and here is the power path:

There is the plug/fuse combo:

As you can see, there is a green/yellow ground. There is a black wire that goes straight into the heart (massive heavy cylinder of wires) of the amp. There is another black wire with a capacitor (I think?) directly after the plug. This wire goes to the switch in the front, which is a simple push button. There is a blue wire coming out of the switch back into the heart of the amp, completing the circuit.

The rest of the components (led board, input boards, output boards, volume knobs) seem irrelevant because it's not getting power at tall (but I could be wrong). Here's a pic of the entire setup:

Any ideas? I am not an electrician, so please use small words :)

Home Audio Amplifier: Dixon K2150USB - No power

My Dixon K2150USB amplifier will not power on. Upon opening the chassis, I discovered a significant amount of brown, gritty debris across the PCB and clear evidence of a thermal event.

There is also heavy corrosion or debris near the power transistors and surrounding resistors (including a 1W10R resistor).

I need help identifying what caused this failure and what the best approach is for cleaning and repairing the board. Specifically:

What is the likely source of the brown debris (insect nesting, capacitor leak, or just dust)?

How can I identify the burned connector to find a replacement?

What other components should I test that are commonly linked to this type of failure in Dixon amplifiers?

I have a multimeter and am comfortable with basic soldering

Hello. I think that PSU on my Digimod 2000hv has died. I started checking the transistors and mosfets and I figured that Q2 (12N60A4D) and another chip responsible for DC voltage are dead. Is there anything else i need to check before replacing them? I will also repalce Q1, which is the same as Q2.

Home Audio Amplifier: Crown Cdi 1000, both ch. signal LED’s jumping, no input audio, no out

I have a Cown CDi 1000 that’s has movement in the signal LEDs on both channels , it bounces from 1 green to two. The problem is that this happens when no signal is being applied and when you do send signal you get no audio nor do the LEDs react. Has anyone had this expierence? This is a dual channel issue, no faults. Any thought on where I should poke around? This CDi1000 is a 2009 model, I repaired the power supply, mainly the kick start area, the 48.7k resistors were pretty toasty, who ever had it before me did a number on C196 so that was replaced too. Could U14 cause this kind of issue?

Home Audio Amplifier: Sansui AU-X410R - no bias voltage on either channel. PIC incl.

Hi guys,

a little stumped with this one. I picked the amp up for next to nothing from a local charity shop. Fired it up via my dim bulb, and it worked, but only just. The output/volume is extremely low. I measured voltage across the emitter resistors, and I'm getting 0 on all 4 of them.

I have checked the power section, and the main rails, and I'm getting around 45v per rail, so that seems ok, Output transistors appear to be ok, and measure fine.

To complicate matters, I cannot find a service manual/schematic for this amp anywhere.

Any help, pointer, tips, would be much appreciated!

Thanks!!
