HTC One: HTC One M7 camera not working, open back

Hi,

I just replaced the top speaker. So before i closed the phone i ran a few tests: screen, sound, usb, front camera, rear camera. The front camera is working fine with third party camera apps, but the rear camera is not working at all. The HTC camera app stays black, then crashes. Is it normal that the camera will not work as long as the back of the phone is open?

Thanks.

HTC One: Why am I getting blurred lines on screen?

Hello,

I have just replaced the screen on an HTC One M7. Repair went well. However once booted. on certain windows (not always but usually) lines of text will be blurry (not all text on the screen, only some). If I swipe the screen up and down the blur follows the text. Not sure what this is. Any ideas?

I have cleaned the contacts of the lcd with .99% in some hope that they were only dirty. thank you

Lcd connector was opened, by me, to the wrong position and a tiny piece is broken, now i am getting blurred/stripes/snow and i don't know if i recieved it like that. I mean, I defenetly broke the connector but I am not sure if the display was fine before.

I want to know if replacing the connector is worth a shot or could it be IC related issue ?

HTC One: Dead Motherboard. Burn connector

So I have an M7 that it’s been dead since 2014. A little of water on the microusb made a burn and fried my motherboard.

I sent it to an third party repair shop and they told me that the motherboard was dead that they can’t fix it.

The support from HTC is garbage, they can’t send replacements from one country to another, so even if I go to the official service they can’t help me (even if they made and exception to accept such and old phone).

A motherboard from Europe is more than the cost of the phone, so is not worth it.

What I’m asking is for reference to a good video or manual so I can repair it myself, the phone is already dead so no problem if I &&^& it up.

IDK if someone will read this, I’m gonna post it all over the internet till someone helps me and reply the correct answers to aid fellow poor guys like me.

Thanks!

HTC One: Top speaker buzzing after screen replaced

I see in this forum that some people did manage to get their top speaker to stop buzzing when the volume was higher than mid range. There were comments that the adhesive was heated to remove parts during the screen replacement steps. My phone had a screen replacement and the top speaker buzzes now. The tech replaced the top speaker but it didn't fix the problem. He also suspected it was adhesive related. For those of you who have managed to fix this problem, what steps did you take with the adhesive? Is it both sides of the speaker that now need more or better adhesive? If you replaced or put on more adhesive, what brand/type did you use?

I am not really willing to just dump this phone, but would really like to fix the speaker. I hate to be only able to hear from my device by using the loudspeaker or ear buds.

HELP.
