I’ve had the HP Victus 15 for quite a while now. During the first three to four months of using it, my experience was excellent. I was able to run some AAA games while still keeping up with my studies, which was everything I could have asked for. However, a problem eventually occur: the screen would randomly flicker and then go completely black. Even when this happens, the laptop would remain on, as I can still hear the audio from whatever video or game I was using.

At first, this issue happened about once a month, and I could use the laptop for several hours before the screen went black but over time, it has worsened to the point where the screen goes black after only a few minutes of use.

I have taken the laptop to multiple technicians in an attempt to fix the issue, but there has been no success. During the warranty period, I did not have the necessary funds to ship it back and request a replacement. So as of now I'm still searching for a technician or a solution to my problem.

i think it overheated, because when i opened it there was a fuse or piece in the board thats too hot even when the laptop is off

Hi, my laptop is not working. Im a "open and see" guy, and i open it more often than i should probably. Last time i opend it I changed the ssd, and closed it, checked if it was working, and everything good. Then, as usual, i carried it in my bag. Next time I wanted to use it it didn't turn on. I tried to remove the battery and only use AC, no use. I tried otherwise, and no use either. Also tried without ssd and ram, just to check, but it was not working. The laptop has a visible hit on the AC adapter corner, but it is at least 1 year old, and it worked perfectly until yesterday. Help please, I've read it may be or dead motherboard or a MOSFET or diode that broke, but even having a multimeter I'm afraid to use it wrongly and make the damage worse. I could carry it to a technician but the laptop is too old and the cost might be greater than a new one, so I want to try it myself, or at least know exactly what is wrong. Here i have some photos:

In the photos "externalDamage" you can see the year old hit.

In the "internalDamage01, you can see a piece of metal that is part of the pc, but its a bit bent, you can se me puting it "closer" in photo "internalDamage02". I don't know if that might be part of the problem, but i don't remember seing it straight ever.
"internalDamage03"is the zone without that piece.

I dont think other parts are the problem, but im not sure so if anyone helping me here wants to see more photos of it feel free to ask.

Also, you can see it has some dust in it. but i dont think it might be the problem. I would love to hear a "just clean it" as a solution, but im afraid it wont be that easy

Hey chat gpt my leptop was running very well until I notice a strange thing when I was change my leptop the charge icon on leptop appears nad also the light on leptop is glowing but the leptop battery persentage is not increasing but also not decrese and when I plug out my leptop and my leptop bettry decrease like usually i was doing my work when leptop is plugged out and bettry is too low then I plug my charger but it's not charging only power the leptop and charging light glowing when my leptop battery is 0 and I turn off my leptop the is not running and the also the charger light is not glowing

My laptop hinge has some problem and due to that the plastic frame covering the hinge is bumped out when ever I open my laptop.
The LED pannel also seems to be a bit tiled.
I need a guide to open the laptop and fix the disalignment of hinges and other problem with the hinge.

Hi, I need help with my computer. It started charging only when it's turned off—it doesn't always charge—and when I turn it on, it cuts off the charger after a few seconds. The strange thing is that it charges fine when it's at 100% while it's on. The computer works perfectly fine without the charger, even after charging it while it's off, which would rule out the battery. It doesn't work at all if I disconnect the battery because it cuts off the charger when I turn it on. The charger seems to be fine; it was tested on another device and works, and the output voltages are correct. I took it to a repair shop, and after three weeks they told me they couldn't fix it because they detected a GPU short. When I took it in, it was completely discharged, and they couldn't even charge it. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or found a solution? I'd appreciate another opinion. Should I try any other components, or should I just give up on it? The charging port doesn't seem to have any problem either. I don't know what the GPU has to do with it not charging when it's on, and they wouldn't give me an answer or a reason why it was happening, just that that's how it was. The exact model is HP Victus 16-d1021ns laptop.
