Google Pixel 5: Vertical pink & white lines appear after pixel 5 battery replacement

I followed the guide for battery replacement.

Screen was 100% functional before attempting repair. Battery was successfully replaced. After connecting display, I turned on display for screen test and there is one pink and several white vertical lines running through the display. There is no visible cracks or damage to the display. I have disconnected and reconnected the display several times hoping I just didn't connect it correctly. There is no visible damage to the LCD connector. Is there something I could have done wrong to cause this?

The only thing I think I may have done is when removing the old glue from display, I left the tempered glass screen protector on causing a small lip around the outside of the display. Could I have pushed down to hard and cracked the display trying to remove the old glue? As I said before, I don't see any damage to the LCD.

Google Pixel 5: My screen got a dead pixel line on the right side after a little drop

Hey. So recently my google pixel 5 got a dead pixel line on the right side after a little tiny drop my accident while putting away some stuff. I had a case and screen protector on and now this happens. This is the 2nd time I have to either get it repair for 200 bucks to someone or get a new phone (currently typing on my old iPhone X from 2018). I can’t do that because I have some stuff still on my google pixel 5 and my phone isn’t in good shape, straight up not straight at all looked bent and a dead pixel and line on it. what makes it worse is that since I had this the right side is untapped and unresponsive and even if I try to get in my passcode it still didn’t let me press enter or a 6. Here’s the vid and the photos. I’m not sure what to do because I have some stuff stored in including google authentication which I’m not sure if it was linked to my gmail at all. Any ideas?

Google Pixel 5: What is the tape underneath the battery and where to get it?

There is a black tape underneath the battery but on top of the induction coil module. I ripped mine and can't find a replacement because it doesn't come with the back shell or the induction charger, and I can't find it being sold separately or in the parts shop here (it only has the graphite tape for on top of the battery).

Does anyone know what it is or what it's for? It looks similar to the graphite tape on top of the battery but mine ripped into several layers so it seems thicker / different than the battery graphite tape.

If I knew what it was for (heat or maybe magnetic shielding for the induction coil) then I could find a generic and cut it to shape.

Google Pixel 5: Why are some functions of my phone not working?

I recently replaced my old phone's battery with a new one and after powering on the device, some functions stopped working such as both rear and front cameras, both speakers, the flashlight, and vibrations and haptics. I tried to calibrate the battery by following the instructions included in the new battery but nothing changed. I changed back to the old battery to see if anything would happen and all of said functions worked again meaning that none of those parts were damaged during the installation process. But switching to the new one causes them to not work anymore. Am I doing something wrong?

Google Pixel 5: Case bulging after battery replacement Dec 2023

Hello!

I replaced the battery for Pixel 5 from iFixit

mid December last year (2023). Recently the screen starting separating from the rest of the phone and pulling the adhesive apart.

I looked inside by scraping the adhesive off and undoing the clips and there's nothing out of the place ordinary it seems. The only thing I can think of that seems to stop the case from fully closing is the battery itself even though I just replaced it last Dec.

Is there something else I'm missing why I can't close the case or why it might have suddenly started bulging? Do I need to replace the battery again even though it's only been 5 months?

Thanks for your time in advance,

Google Pixel 5: Where are the microphones in the Pixel 5?

Hello,

I would like to know where the two microphones are located on the Pixel 5.

I am pretty sure about the upper microphone: https://i.postimg.cc/1gG8zhM0/mikro-oben...

I should then simply remove the contact on the yellow foil to replace the microphone, right?

I'm not sure about the second microphone: https://i.postimg.cc/3y5y7JjJ/mikro-unte... have marked a module there in yellow. Then on the other side of the board is a hole that leads to that module. Therefore I assume that is the microphone? However, I am wondering how the sound gets there. There is an arm of the blue marked part on top of the hole. Could it be that the blue part is directing the sound to the microphone? However, there is nothing open there that would allow the sound to go through. Does it then go with sound waves through the hole to the module?

Thanks in advance for help. I would be very grateful to you guys...

Have a nice day!
