Google Pixel 4a: How to solve gps issues, why no new gps cable in shop?

Any experience here in the cleaning and re-connecting the GPS cable(s)? (Pixel 4a).

Planning to change my battery, but it is really necessary to have a good gps afterwards. It has had some rain in the past. Maybe some oxidation but its so hard to open, simply testing is not easy. So at battery exchanging time, it would be very nice to solve gps issues before glueing it back together.

I do not see new gps cables here. Someone proposed a new motherbord, thay seems waisting money if that is not 100% sure the cause. I am an experienced Electronics Engineer, connectors seem my first assumption of the cause. I cannot find other experiences. Just a new cable and cleaning its opposits seems a better approach but its like nobody has done that before?

And (why) are the cables not available?

Google Pixel: How to fix google pixel gps not working?

Recently I bought a used google pixel where I replaced the battery and I was happy with it. Today I went to a field where there is no WiFi and cellular. My last phone got a GPS 3D fix here in seconds and this one spent 10 minutes and didn’t connect to a single satellite. I downloaded GPS test and it shows a lot of satellites in view and zero in use. The google one on one support chat suggested a few things that I tried but it didn’t help so they recommended to return the phone for a replacement but the problem with this is 1st I’m not in the US, 2nd It’s a used phone so I don’t have anything else than the device itself. So is there any hardware or software solution I should try?

Things I tried:

Resetting to factory settings / wiping phone.

Not opening dev options.

Resetting GPS data.

Changing high accuracy location settings.

I followed Matt M's advice for fixing the fingerprint sensor on his Google 6Pro, but I cannot find how to "right-click" on a Google Pixel 6a phone, so I don't see the "Install" option anywhere on this device to install the .inf file as his advice so sagely advises.
Google Pixel 6a: Pixel 6a - Screen separated from bezel during repair

I am in the process of replacing the battery in my Google Pixel 6a. When opening the device, the screen has (mostly, it's still attached at the bottom) separated from the plastic bezel (see picture). The screen still works perfectly fine, but I don't know where to find an appropriate adhesive to reattach the screen to the bezel. I'd rather not have to spend the money on a new screen.

Context:
The repair guide seems to assume that they won't come apart. It specifically says to not pry between the screen and the bezel, which I did not do. It came apart on its own. (As the user of the phone being repaired, I could tell that the adhesive was on the way out before I started the repair.) It did not come apart due to a swelling battery, the battery I removed from the phone shows no signs of swelling. (The reason I replaced it is due to poor battery life and a battery health warning in settings.) I bought this phone 2nd hand, so I don't really know the history of it and what might have caused this adhesive to fail.

The main thing I'm asking for is advice on what kind of adhesive to buy (or even pre-cut adhesive if possible) to re-attach the screen to the bezel. (I am not asking about the adhesive to attach the bezel to the frame, commonly called the "display adhesive" and included in the repair kit)

Google Pixel 4a: People hear themselves when I call them after replacing the back cover

Afternoon,

I recently replaced the back cover of my pixel 4A. The part didn't come with the led and the microphone attached so I ordered a new mic + led. After doing that, people can now hear themselves when I call them. The issue does not happen on bluetooth or with wired headphones.

Please note that I have removed the adhesive protector from the top microphone hole on the new back cover, and tried to align it with the circular mark.

Is there anything I could have forgotten that could be causing this issue?

Google Pixel 7 Pro: FIngerprint sensor not woring after BATTERY replacement

Hello,

I replaced the battery earlier today. After installing it everything was fine including the fingerprint sensor. I left it charging and checked it some time later. The fingerprint sensor was no longer working. I tried adding another fingerprint but it said that there is a problem with the sensor so I tired restarting it. Now there is no fingerprint unlock option in the settings and the circle that lights up when you press the sensor isn't there.

I tried calibrating using https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps but it still doesn't work.

It is good to mention that when reconnecting the screen, the spudger slipped and bent the screen cable. The damage is between the data lines and as I said, everything was fine for a while.

What do I do?

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Screen doesn't turn on on a second hand phone

Hello, yesterday on the screen on my current Pixel 7 Pro a white line appeared. I changed the battery in the beginning of the year so I may have damaged the assembly. This isn't the issue I am asking about though.

I found one second hand deal for a full phone but with the screen not turning on. I am suspecting that the screen connector to the motherboard have moved and slightly disconnected. Basically the screen is working but something inside isn't. I haven't found much info on this being an issue on Pixel 7 Pro but I know that it present on other phones.

My questions are:

Is this also true for 7 Pros?

What should I ask the seller to do before ordering?

Is it possible that the screen is fine?

Google Phone: Two green lines appeared on my Pixel 7 Pro

Hello everyone,

There are now two green lines on my Google Pixel 7 Pro screen (it was only one before). When there was only one green line, on the far right, I took it to a mobile phone repair shop. They said they had fixed the dead pixel, but the problem returned less than a week later. Now there are two green lines. The repair shop said that the screen needs to be replaced now. My question is this: is there an underlying problem with my phone, and will replacing the screen fix it? I am debating whether to purchase the part because:

(1) It is quite expensive for me (I am from the Philippines), but I also want to purchase a genuine part.

(2) I am not sure if the replacement will solve the problem.

(3) I don't want to give up my P7Pro yet.

Please provide any additional information that might be useful. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

I swapped out the battery on a Pixel recently, I was careful about heating up the adhesive enough and used the plastic pick to sever the adhesive. The screen didn’t crack when removing it. After i got the battery switched out, I put everything back together and turned the phone on.
