<title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: Why does my printer keep saying offline?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My Epson Workforce 545 is connecting to our home network through our wifi, with an IP address.</p>

<p>The printer works beautiful, except for when it isn't used for a couple days, which it will say &quot;Offline&quot;.  Troubleshooting in Windows 10 just says it's not powered on, but it clearly is.  When I check the network status on the printer,  it says still connected.  I'm unable to ping it when it says offline.</p>

<p>Sometimes rebooting the router will cause it to come back, but usually I have to remove the printer completely, and re-add it manually using the IP Address.  It doesn't come up as an addable device for some reason, which is the reason for manually adding it.</p>

<p>One possible fix I found said to go to the port configuration and disable SNMP.  (<a href="https://youtu.be/ououPOBThwc" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SNMP Fix Tutorial</a>)However, when I click on &quot;Configure Port...&quot;, I get an error.  Also, the port name is very odd looking.</p>

<p>Is there something I can do to resolve this that I'm not aware of?</p>

<p>Thank you for the response. It makes complete sense.</p>

<p>So I deleted the printer, and re-added it using the hostname instead of the IP address.  I have the epson software already installed, and it says all drivers are up to date.  When I try to run the Epson Event Manager, with the printer added, it says</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson XP-850: Paper keeps jamming no matter what I do!]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My Epson XP-850 had a paper jam. I cleared out all jammed paper, including going in from the back, but now, when I try to print, I get a grinding sound and the new paper jams immediately. I tried everything: flattening the paper, lining it up with care, even trying just a single sheet, with the same result: grind, grind, jam. I fear I damaged something when clearing the original paper jam. HELP!!!!!!</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: Unable to print envelope from rear slot]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Epson WF-3640 Printer connected to desktop with Windows 10. Using MS Word 2016.</p>

<p>I'm unable to get the printer to print to an envelope inserted in the rear paper feed slot. I've set the printer property &quot;Paper Type&quot; for Envelope, &quot;Paper Source&quot; for rear paper feed slot. And mixed these up. Always similar results. The envelope in the rear slot will be fed through without printing and then a sheet of paper from the cassette is printed on. Or get an error on the printer that the Paper Type doesn't match the paper in Cassette 1.</p>

<p>What is the secret sauce to print an envelope?</p>

<p>I have an Epson L386 printer, connected to wireless network.</p>

<p>Unfortunately I made a reset to router and now I don't remember my previous password.</p>

<p>So at this point I can't connect my printer to network. I am searching for hours, and</p>

<p>I still haven't figured out how can I reset my printer to factory reset, since it is not connected to network.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: Stylus C88 Printing Evenly Spaced Thin Black Horizontal Lines]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>From the time I purchased my Epson Stylus C88 it has printed black evenly spaced horizontal lines through my documents.  I have done multiple cleanings, alignments, new cartridges, reinstalled the driver, tried different settings, reset the printer, etc.   When I called Epson they said it probably had to do with the fact that I used generic cartridges.  Does anyone know how I can stop this.  Maybe a way to turn off the monitoring ink.   I have seen videos but I do not have the option under maintenance to disable.  Maybe someone has made a driver to override the Epson driver?   I need to print my resume.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson WF-2540: Why did my printer stop printing]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>my Epson printer stopped printing in the middle of a document and now will no longer print.  The queue is empty, I have replaced the ink, I have run all the tests (which won't print out), rebooted, called it names, nothing will work. The document is sent to the printer and the printer acts like it's printing but the paper comes out either blank or with little tiny light marks on it.  I have run the nozzle cleaning.  WF2540</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Workforce 645: Broken "wheel" after fixing paper jam,]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there,</p>

<p>I Recently had a paper jam in my Epson Workforce 645 3-in-one printer which was given to me for free.</p>

<p>After clearing the jam, i neglected to hold the two side springs together before pushing the paper jam panel back into place. I believe that I broke one of the white plastic &quot;wheels&quot; on the right side that &quot;grabs&quot; the paper from the paper try.</p>

<p>I now have a permanent &quot;paper jam&quot; due to the misfeed.</p>

<p>This printer was free. My questions are:</p>

<p>1. is it repairable?</p>

<p>2. is it worth it given the fact that the printer was free.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: WF-3620 Print Head will not fully clean, see more]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Hello! I will be so thankful for any help at all.</p>

<p>My Epson Workforce 3620 stopped printing clearly, with words in a Microsoft document printing with lines through them and spotchy  to where you can't read some sentences in a full document.</p>

<p>It randomly started doing it so I replaced the ink cartridges and it has continued to do it. I know how to replace the ink cartridges as I pulled off the yellow &quot;Remove&quot; sticker and kept everything else, of course inserting it with the top-label side facing me until I heard a click.</p>

<p>I have used the &quot;Maintenance&quot; settings multiple - and by that I mean, roughly 30 or so - times of each Print Head Alignment (vertical &amp; horizontal), Head Cleaning, Nozzle Check, and the roller cleaner option.</p>

<p>At first, I called Epson Customer Service. The person walked me through  the maintenance steps, though I had done them several times, and told me that  it must be the ink cartridges so they sent me all new ones free of charge. When I put them in, the issues were still happening and I ran through the maintenance settings again. When I called Epson back and provided a reference number, they had no idea what reference number I had and had me running through the maintenance steps again though I had assured them it was more than that, I work from home, need to get it fixed.  I swear to you, this lady insisted that I must re-try the maintenance settings after already doing it one the phone with her and telling her that I did them on my own. There are no Epson repair centers in my area as well.</p>

<p>Has anyone else had this problem? Do you know of anything I can do? I am not really able to just buy a new one, since i just bought this one in December of 2017.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson XP-960: Replace waste ink pads]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My Epson XP 960 display warned that the printers waste ink pads are at the end of their life cycle and needed to be replaced.  I ordered and installed a new a complete ink pad kit but the printer still prompts that the ink pads need to be replaced.  The installation was done correctly but the printer is stuck on the warning .</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson XP-960: Epson XP-960 prints with blue cast tint on all prints/photos]]></title>

<p>my epson XP-960 printer its printing out  with blue cast color on all prints including colored  and black white photos , i had just re-installed new inks which are not epson inks but worked with before with no issues , funny thing is when i change my printing settings to print in &quot;plain paper&quot; colors come out ok  on my black white photos and colored ones but the printing quality is bad with bands or stripes across  , when i change  the paper quality to either premium glossy or ultra premium photo paper prints come out with a blue cast , on my colored prints  all colors are visible/printed but they have a very strong blue tint they look horrible and the black white come out blue , its really strange and i tried printing with several printing papers including epson premium photo paper , kodak and even HP same thing happens , i did do a nozzle check and cleaned the printing head and all comes out good i just feel im wasting printing paper  trying to fix this.</p>
