Dryer: Dryer does not get hot, only warm

I have a new electric dryer (the second one since the first one had the same problem). The dryer will not get hot. I have had GE here twice, I have had the ducts checked as well as the outside vent cap, the electrical circuits are on. The first dryer would only get hot when it was disconnected from the vent hose. The new one that arrived today is not getting past warm. Do you think it is an electrical issue with the outlet? I don’t have a voltage meter. Do I call an electrician?

Dryer: Kenmore 110 Elite gas dryer intermittently working

My Kenmore 110.70936990 model dryer was sometimes not starting up after I'd press the start button. Later it would. About 9 months ago, a repairman replaced the motor relay switch and that didn't resolve the problem (it’s slowly gotten worse). About 8 months ago, I changed the start switch and that also didn't resolve the problem. It got to the point that I'd press the start button several times and finally it would kick in and work fine. However, recently, that hasn't even worked consistently and even when it did finally start, it would sometimes just stop again 5-10 minutes later.

This weekend I bypassed the thermistor and plugged the leads from the old thermal fuse to a brand new one. Still no change. The drum turns as long as I'm holding down the button (so the belt is OK). I've opened the door and pressed down the piece that activates the door switch, held down the start switch and the drum turned, so the door switch seems fine too.

After not working at all for almost a week straight, it did fire up again just recently this evening. The dryer ran for about 5-10 minutes total, started off normal, then gradually started sounding rough and somewhat shaking, got louder, then stopped making the noise…and then ultimately stopped running again. The sound was like something running over rollers, a grinding type sound.

This seems to be a multi-faceted problem and I’m just now at a loss. Any thoughts as to what would cause intermittent starting and then even more intermittent following thru with completing the cycle?…and a fairly rough one at that?

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Heat shuts off during drying cycle but drum continues to turn

Electric dryer motor runs and turns clothes and has heat when you first start the machine but heat STOPS after a few minutes. When you restart the dryer, the heat comes back on but again stops after a few minutes. I have checked and confirmed the continuity is OK on the (1)heating coil, (2)thermal cutoff,(3)high limit thermostat, and (4)Thermal Fuse. I also opened up the blower and air duct to make sure than nothing was blocking the airflow. Could one of these above items show OK on the continuity test, but still be shutting off the heating coil during the drying cycle? Is there something else to test that I have missed?

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Buzzing Motor, Drum doesn't turn on its own.

My dryer stopped working, now the motor just loudly hums and it does not turn at all.

The belt is still on and if I push the door trigger in and turn the drum manually and press start the motor will turn the drum in whichever direction that I turn it.

I took the lid off and tried to turn drum but hand, it did turn and as it is supposed to be, it was stiff to turn.

I decided to test the strength of the motor so while i has it turning i put some resistance on the drum from the inside and it was plenty strong, the problem seems to be just getting the motor started.

Any clue on what could be causing this?

thanks

Update (06/14/2017)

I read online it could also be a lint jam... so, i have cleaned it all out, blew and vacuumed it... the support wheels seemed fine, I can turn the motor which turns the drum with just a pinky.

I will put it back together tonight and see how it goes.

Kenmore Series 80 Dryer: Why is my dryer not heating?

We have a whirlpool dryer older model. My husband has tested EVERYTHING for continuity, everything seems to check out fine and getting electricity. We just 2 weeks ago cleaned the venting system out because the dryer stopped working all together, we replaced the thermal fuse and it started working again. But Now it runs but doesn’t heat? We have pulled the motor out as well and that’s getting continuity as well. Is there anything we are missing here? Please help!

Dryer: Cord that connects to door switch in dryer no longer starts

I've had a Whirlpool dryer for 17 years and it worked fine until it recently stopped working. It was plugged in, the door was shut properly, and the power outlet works when I plug in something else into it. Now it doesn't run at all. No turning or heat. I also confirmed continuity between the 2 metal pins on the thermal fuse

I thought the former door switch was the problem because I got a multimeter and last week it detected continuity in the female end that connects to the control board but found no continuity between the pins in the old door switch

I ordered a new door switch from here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlp...

After I finally received the new door switch and confirmed there was continuity between its pins, I just inserted it into the dryer, but it still won't start. I then checked for continuity in the female end that connects to control board but it now no longer has any detected continuity

If this is confusing, I attached some photos: https://imgur.com/a/BMT1sj8

The bottom photo is the female end I'm talking about that no longer has continuity

Did I not correctly check for continuity in the female end? Was I supposed to check the continuity between its pins and the blue and white cords in the very bottom of the first image?
