Gaming PC: Upon logging in screen is black

Trying to fix a friends computer. First it's a prefab gaming computer but i don't know what kind and he doesn't remember. I has win 10 pro, 8 gig ram, and a 1TB hard drive. When booting windows starts (kinda slow) but when you log in the screen is black and doesn't show anything. I can do CTRL + Shift+ ESC and get the processes window but I tried running dxdiag from that and a couple other commands but nothing happens. It won't let me get into bios screen and won't let me safe mode. I am thinking I need to wipe the drive and start with a clean install if it lets me boot to a USB which it doesn't now..... anyway any tips would be appreciated.

Desktop PC: PC won’t boot after daughter turned off computer during software updat

Hi, my pc was updating and my daughter hit the power on the surge protector and shut everything down. Now i can’t boot, can’t get into bios, can’t get into recovery and the monitor doesn’t even pick up a signal when i turn the pc on. Tried Rebooting 3X for recovery, no go. LED on my motherboard now shows a DRAM issue, I took them out, cleaned them and replaced them. All 4 are 16GB Corsair with no issues before update crash. Please help

Desktop PC: Why are games so slow on my PC

i dont know if this is on the right forum (if it isn’t tell me), but games on my PC are so incredibly slow its impossible to play them. I mean seriously, for most games i get an average of 5 fps. I need 60 or 100 fps, i would really just be happy with 20 ish. What can i do to increase the framerate for games?

ps: here are my specs ( i know they i really bad)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor

Memory: 8 GB

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro(64-bit)

I have a

R5 5500

Radeon Rx6600

Gigabyte 450m wifi

528gb SSD

16gb ram

PC was working really well for the first month, all drivers have been up to date, nothing unnecessary installed just essentials. But all of a sudden a couple days ago my connection fps and speed in games and in general has slowed down or gotten worse. I was able to get 200fps in fortnite happily and are now struggling to hit 140. Can anyone help?

Well I just spent $1500 on PC parts and now that is all put together it won't give me a display, no post no bios, nothing.

every fan is working same the LED lights

Just build my first gaming PC when tried turning on nothing comes on the screen but it's sometimes it says reboot and select proper boot device. I have spend so much money on my gaming PC and it's not working now I'm so depressed so if someone can help that would be great.

Desktop PC: PC skips BIOS and goes straight to homescreen

I was playing beat saber, my VR game, and my PC crashed. Previously the game crashed a couple times.

I think it was my CPU OC. I was overclocked to 3.8ghz. But I was in good temps, and only 1.375 volts. Not too bad. Anways, im not completely sure but it crashed and went to the windows recovery ( or aka blue screen), while blasting a loud noise. I said screw that, and just restarted my PC.

But now it wont boot into BIOS at all. I did a CMOS reset. I went to Advanced Settings to UEFI. I have tried everything. Tried booting without HDD’s, nothing. I don’t know if its a CPU issue or a Motherboard issue. Kind of ticks me off. I am about to add more fans and do a GPU mod as well and now I cant get into my BIOS to make sure all the fans will work properly. Getting an AIO which will be going into my CHA fan header. (It is the Kraken G12 mod)…. and I wanted to make sure that is running at 12v constant.

I could use speed fan still I think without it but now my bios is on default, and I still like to fiddle with some things. For instance, my ram is now back at 2133mhz… yuck. Anyways, its been a few hours trying to fix this and I have no clue what to do. I may just let my PC rest and see if it fixes itself but ugh.

My pc turns on but doesn’t give any video or the keyboard/mouse doesn’t light up

So basically today arrived a new pc case so I decided to change it. I was using the pc before I turned it off to change the case. So, I unplugged all the cables from the psu and the graphic card and mounted it on the other case. When I connected every tried to turn it on but now it doesn’t give any video or the lights of the keyboard doesn’t turn on, they only lights that turn on is the light of the motherboard itself. Tried multiple things like putting rams again, using other ram modules, taking of the battery to clear cmos, or unplugging everything again and trying to make it work out of the case but no success.Its rare because literally I was on the pc 10 minutes before the package came and it was running perfect Any help is appreciated because my new graphic card is arriving on Monday and if I can save 80-100€ so I don’t have to buy a new one.

Desktop PC: Why does my monitor turn off but my pc stays on?

My computer was fine for the first 6 months. However after a while it began having some issues, when doing any activities (gaming, school work, YouTube) it would randomly shut off, making a buzzing static noise through my headphones, however my pc would stay on, the only way of fixing the issue was forcing it to shut down by holding down the power button (which I know is bad) it would then turn back on and the monitor would turn blank, any input would disappear. I would have to hold the power button once again, the strange thing is after doing this sometimes my graphics drivers would be removed.

when I done using my PC I will click shut down on the start menu,or press the power button on the PC,but when I shut down my PC,the PC just turn back on,or if I scheduled a time to turn the PC off,the PC still turn back on again,idk why

Is there any solution to turn this PC off completely? It's annoying me after turn this PC off at night

Custom built desktop PC: BIOS problem, keyboard input problem

Today I reinstall my windows but when I booted to the motherboard's splash screen I rapidly press the boot menu key

But it boot into windows (not windows installer)

Then I tried to reboot the PC

I tried to press the caps lock but the keyboard's light not light up means the keyboard driver or input whatever has a problem

My motherboard that working with keyboard before it's does not have uefi mode (the bios+uefi mode it turning on) I created a uefi USB boot drive but nothing show on the boot menu then I tried to recreated it into bios legacy USB boot drive the boot menu shows the USB drive

Help me these 2 problem!

So I was on my pc and without me realizing some water dripped onto my power button and now my pc keeps turning itself off every few minutes, I tried drying it off and unplugging the connection and putting it back in but it still does it. After turning off it won’t let me turn it back on for a few minutes as well. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Power through all of the tower, no signal from tower to the TV screen. I have changed the HDMI cords out, cannot shut it down properly due to no signal on the screen. What could be the issue?

I have Medion MS-7616.My keyboard worked fine until 2,3 weeks ago,then suddenly num lock start to blinking and keyboard don't working good.When i try typing something or play a game keyboard starts to lag or something like that,example:when i type a letter it continious to typing by itself or when i play a game car starts to moving by itself too.I was reading answers on many forums that is some softver issuses and i try to solve it on many ways like there is describe but nothing works.I know i lot of about a computer and i was fixing so many times issuses on my pc or others but i see something like this for first time.And i forgot to tell,i connected keyboard to other pc and it works fine but i connect again to this pc it start to lags like i said before.So it's some issue in softver for sure but i don't know what.Please if you know how to fix this i will be very grateful
