My brother's friends used it as a karaoke and the next day, it wouldn't turn on. We tried charging it, the charging light is on, but the screen still won't turn on.

Whenever I open the laptop, it won't turn on unless it is plugged in. When it is plugged in, the display just flashes white and off on like 1-second intervals.

Tldr: Caffeine run out, fell asleep without unplugging the chromebook (no battery) and the next morning it won't turn on now.

The only noticeable thing i got is this part buzzing when connected to power:

Okay I have two of the same model Dell Chromebook 11 CB1C13 l managed to get one working and powerwashed it, the problem is with the other, both were enrolled in local school and I can't get into developer mode, keep getting message the admin has disabled dev mode, is there a way to get through this? Any advice,ideas or comments are appreciated, what else is possible? thanks

I was recently trying to install a m2 into my Chromebook and broke it. The screen does not light up, but the charger light works. I was trying to screw a screw into the hole in the image, and I suddenly felt a lot of resistance and then none. I think I may have broken something inside the screw hole. I think I used too big of a screw. Now, when I charge the Chromebook, the connector in the images gets warmer than in other places. Does anyone know what's wrong with it?

There is a constant whirring noise coming from the left side of my Chromebook. I thought it may be the fan, but it doesn’t go away even when it has good airflow. Can it be a virus? I noticed other weird things happening, also. Such as the same notification popping up often and 404 Error messages when I type in a Google search

ok so i just got my chrome book this year for school and YES I KNOW I SHOULDNT TINKER WITH A SCHOOL CHROME BOOK! But hear me out. so my chrome book like any other school cromebook is enrolled making it impossible to get dev mode and linux and basically stoping you from having any fun with your chromebook but i was thinking if i were to buy a ssd that came out of a non enrolled chrome book and took out my current ssd and replaced it with the non enrolled one would i be able to get dev mode linux etc?? and would putting the original ssd back into my chrome book make my chrome book enrolled again? and would my school ever be able to tell if i put back the original one before i gave it back to them?? i apreciate any help thx:)

I finished middle school, and they let me keep my Chromebook. It is a Dell Chromebook 3100. That’s all it says, and I can’t do anything because it is enterprise locked, and I don’t have my school account anymore. I have followed tons of tutorials and guides but none of them worked. I am repairing a Chromebook and have determined that I may need to get a new hard drive.

Repairing laptops is new for me, though I did find that it takes an M.2. The problem is that the hard drive looks to be part of the motherboard, but I don't see it.
